Welcome to the ANU Environment Collective
Getting involved in the Environment Collective (EC) is a great opportunity for students to give something back to environment, on and off campus, to be part of a community, and learn a lot about the world along the way.

Why you should get involved in the EC
Many students have cried out for their desire to ‘do something’, and for an individual the EC is the first-point of reference for those who want to get involved in local campus initiatives or the global greater good. The EC is also a prime network for Green Reps from different environmental groups locally and globally.

Who should participate in the EC
We encourage anyone and everyone to come along and see what we’re all about. The EC seeks to remove any ‘alternative exclusivity’ environmental groups may sometimes portray. Environmental issues are issues that affect all races, genders, ages, and people from all political beliefs, social groups and academic backgrounds. You don’t have to know a lot about environmental issues to care about giving something back to the planet either. We value everyone’s ideas and suggestions equally.

How you can get involved
Membership is free, and you don’t have to make any commitments to participate in events, or attend every meeting, although we hope that you will! Why don't you start by taking one of the following steps:
1. Come to meetings
The Environment Collective meets fortnightly at 12:30pm Wednesdays starting Week 1. In addition the first Wednesday of every month allocated to a collaborative meeting of all different environmental groups on and off campus, so this is also a great time to come along for those who cant make regular meetings!
2. Join the facebook group and mailing list
By joining either or both our facebook group & mailing list, you will receive updates about what is happening around campus, ways you can get involved, upcoming events, and other random environmental things!
3. Contact your Environment Officer
Contact Sarah Vann-Sander, your 2008 Environment Officer on ANUSA by email, enviro.collective@anu.edu.au, or drop into the ANUSA office to speak to her directly.
